My First watch, October 27, 2011 This review is from: Citizen Men's AT2050-56E Chronograph Eco Drive Watch (Watch) I have been waiting a while to write this review, I originally picked this watch out and got it for my birthday back in May of 2011. It being my first watch I was extremely picky on the functions I wanted it to have as well as the name I wanted to be representing.
I finally saw this watch online, loved it, tried it on in person and loved it even more. This watch has a great bulk to it, it is never in the way, yet its heavy enough you know you have something on your wrist.
As far as the quartz movement goes if you know anything about watches you know that Citizen has one of the best and most reliable quartz movements in the business, this watch is no exception. In the past month it has been on spot + or - 2 seconds.
Bottom line is this, when I bought this watch I was just looking for a great first watch that would last a long time, I ended up with exactly that. Once I got my first watch I actually started getting into watches as more of an interest and... Read more
From a "watch snob"., May 2, 2011 This review is from: Citizen Men's AT2050-56E Chronograph Eco Drive Watch (Watch) I am not a jewelry guy. I don't wear rings, necklaces, an earring (except for an unfortunate few months in high school to impress a girl) and GOD FORBID a bracelet! However, I have always loved watches. They are functional and just somehow "say a lot" about the guy wearing it. Sitting in business meetings over the last couple decades, you obviously could tell a guy wearing a Rolex made bucks. But then there was the difference between the guys who, even though they had the same brand, one wore some gold monstrosity versus the guy who had a good looking, classy watch because it was quality, and looked nice without being ostentatious.
This watch is the latter. I have gotten compliments on it because it does look good on your wrist. (You should have a fairly good sized wrist to wear this.) But I know Citizen makes excellent watches, the Eco-drive is a fantastic feature, it feels nice and heavy and substantial, but it is not a "hey look at me" thing. Citizen rovides excellent...
